Q. What was your previous job?
A. I worked in hospitality industry.
After that, I worked as a post office worker.

Q. What made you choose IT Professionals Training School run by Media Five?
A. I was attracted by two catchphrases of this school;
“Educational Background Doesn’t Matter.” & “IT Novices are Welcome!!” In those days, I wasn’t able to use a PC well, much less have my own.
Just used it several times at my school classes though.
I didn’t have a good educational background.
After my first job, I tried to find a better working opportunity,
but wasn’t able to find such company.
Despite of these things, however, this school has given me very good vocational opportunities.

Q. How did you frankly feel about taking our training at the school?
A. Frankly speaking, it was not always fun to me, but I had a great time there on the whole,
because I was able to study very hard and encouraging each other with my classmates.

Q. What type of people do you think are cut out for programming work?
A. Those who are good at math and science are suited for it, people say, but I do not think so.
If you have any one specialty, for example, being good at precision work or anything,
you can improve necessary skills based on your specialty at your own pace.

Q. What’s your current job?
A. Currently I develop WEB applications by use of PHP Language.
Also, I’ve been provided with a wonderful opportunity and I can try to be promoted to a managing position. Thus, I enjoy my job every day, since my job is so fulfilling.

Q. Compared to before the training, what skills do you feel you have improved?
A. I think I’ve achieved good improvement on working manners as well as technical matters as a working adult. For example, I learned well how to email politely, how to talk to elder workers and other manners. The training helped me find out I was not able to do even easy thing, although I thought I could. Then, I was able to improve myself well.

Q. Please give your comment to those who are considering of learning at this school?
A. My life has changed positively since I joined Media Five.
Why don’t you join Trial Seminar?

Q. What was your previous job?
A. Clerical work.

Q. Were you interested in working IT Industry before?
A. Yes. I was. But I didn’t where to start in those days.
One day I had an opportunity and I joined Trial Seminar here.
At the seminar, I became fulfilled while I was operating PC screens.
Since then, I became more interested in studying IT things and wanted to create Web systems by myself by learning the school.

Q. What type of people do you think are cut out for programming work?
A. Those who love learning things. To become a programmer, there are so many things we have to learn. For example, obtaining qualifications and studying about IT tools, languages and other additional functions. Every time I see longer-experienced senior workers studying hard for getting qualifications, I feel inspired and I have to study hard as well.

Q. You work in the Tokyo Office now.
Do you feel any difference comparing to working in Fukuoka?

A. When I was in Fukuoka, I used to work in a team of three or five people.
Here in Tokyo, one team has much more coworkers, say 15 or 20 or more.
Working in such a big team, I feel a good tension in my daily work.
By the way, as you know, there are so many sky-scrapers in Tokyo.
Be careful with any sky scraper when you visit an office thereon.
Sometimes, its elevator doesn’t stop on your desired floor.

Q. What’s your current job?
A. I am responsible for designing Web Application Systems.
Still now I sometimes come across unfamiliar things, but in such case, I ask my seniors for advice.
I always keep in mind to design and create easy-to-understand system specifications.

Q. Compared to before the training, what things do you feel you have improved?
A. I think I’ve become able to act more at my own initiative.
For example, I assign myself something to achieve for my job and actually get it done.

Q. Please encourage those who are considering of learning at this school?
A. Before I entered this school, I was unexperienced and had much anxiety.
However, thanks to the encouragement from other trainees and the lecturers here,
I completed the training and entered this company as a regular worker.
So, why don’t you take this chance and join Trial Seminar if you are dithering to join here?

A. I helped my friend’s Italian restaurant. He asked me to do so.

Q. What made you decide to enter the school?
A. Just three years after I started my work at the restaurant,
I found my friends working at their companies very actively.
They all looked shiny, working at the business forefront.
On the contrary, I was not satisfied with myself and so frustrated at that time…
I wanted to have a better opportunity to test myself in a different workplace.
So, I started to find a new job. At that time, I was interested in IT Industry,
but had no experience there.
While thinking I wouldn’t be able to work in this industry with no experience,
I came to find Media Five.

Q. What career have you got since you became a regular worker?
A. I was assigned to a section where I did programming work related to mobile phones.
This was one year after I finished the training. After that, I got IT related qualifications.

Q. What was your previous job?
A. First I worked at a restaurant. After that, I was a secretary to a politician, and did several jobs.
My previous jobs were not IT-related.

A. What made you choose to enter this school?
Q. Whenever I tried to find a new job, I talked with different people.
While talking with them, I came to ask myself “What I can do as my new job? What ability do I have?” I felt blue by thinking so, because I had nothing special I was able to do at that time.
In the meantime, I turned older than 30. I knew I needed to have something as my specialty.
So I decided to start to work in IT Industry in order to obtain IT skills, although this was a late start for me. But none of the IT companies hired me, this over-30-year-old IT novice.
After this, I was thinking of giving up my dream in IT Industry, then luckily I found Media Five.

Q. How did you frankly feel about taking our training at the school?
A. At first, I was anxious about whether I could complete the training course, just because I was a sheer novice, but thanks to nice guidance from gentle lecturers and to the students-friendly training system, I was able to learn things at my own pace and was able to learn basic skills for system development.

Q. Please tell us your goals as an IT engineer?
A. Currently I take one role of system development as an engineer.
But sometime in the future, I’d like to take an initiative role as the project leader of large-scaled system development. So, I’d like to pile up IT engineering skills for this purpose.
